Italian yacht designer <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/118" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Design Studio Spadolini S.r.l (Company)">Tommaso Spadolini</a> has unveiled the first details of his new 90-metre superyacht concept. The sporty motor yacht features strong exterior lines and has been designed to have close contact with the sea.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/254144/image/large-f745df6f4f0984c08ef4c436e33b4736.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/254144">The new superyacht concept has been conceived with a powerful shear for the main deck, emphasised by two strong convex lines for the owner’s and upper decks. “We have worked closely with the owner and his representatives to create a really head-turning design that responds to his three key requirements without sacrificing one iota of practicality,” said <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/118" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Design Studio Spadolini S.r.l (Company)">Tommaso Spadolini</a>.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/254134/image/large-a9861ebc7aeb18a1d01e9ece88afccc3.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/254134"><a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/118" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Design Studio Spadolini S.r.l (Company)">Spadolini</a> has designed the yacht to provide plenty of privacy for guests onboard. “Discretion and privacy were a big part of the brief,” <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/118" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Design Studio Spadolini S.r.l (Company)">Spadolini</a> noted. “We have developed enclosed structures for the stairs and separate crew access so that the owner can be completely cocooned on demand.”<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/254145/image/large-2df400ce625611a2deb51fed1e29e802.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/254145">The concept features a dedicated owner’s deck with 270-degree views from the master suite. The stateroom also includes his and hers ensuite with bath tubs, walk-in wardrobes, a wine cellar, cigar lounge with humidor and an intimate lounge area.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/254136/image/large-8467ff3299cc3051c5c26e3136c36269.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/254136">By flaring the bow and introducing a side deck forward on the upper deck, extra volume has been created on the main deck below. She is also equipped with a nine-seat cinema, a 200 square-metre sundeck with pool and a touch-and-go helipad on her foredeck. She is also capable of speeds around 20 knots.“We have spent many hundreds of hours refining the design of this yacht,” said <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/118" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Design Studio Spadolini S.r.l (Company)">Spadolini</a>. “It is now ready to move to the next engineering stage. Though we are currently studying some larger designs for potential clients, this is the biggest yacht we have brought to such a stage of detail. It is very dear to me, like a member of the family.”

Ferretti has announced the new 30.13-metre Skydeck edition of the Ferretti Yacht 1000 model.

The new sail plan, full in carbon, will ensure comfort and sailing performance through the use of Perini Navi's "sail handling system".The 77-metre <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/51" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Perini Navi (Company)">Perini Navi</a> sailing yacht will also be the first vessel to install the legendary Falcon Rig. The sailing yacht will have two masts to aid with navigation and safety and will feature an electro-hydraulic mast-sail management system. TISG presents the new 48-77m Perini Navi sailing yacht fleet Genesis

The new Seadeck series from <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/358" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Azimut Yachts (Company)">Azimut</a> is a range of family-oriented hybrid motoryachts that the Italian brand says will reduce C02 emissions by up to 40 percent over a year of average use compared to a traditional flybridge boat of similar dimensions. Comprising a 60-, 70- and 80-foot model, the first 60-foot unit will debut in 2024.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/261627/image/large-c9675d1f425a7d267c9e9fc604eec811.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/261627">From a technological standpoint, the Seadeck series is the culmination of Azimut’s 20-year drive to implement sustainable innovations. Over half of Azimut’s fleet is now made up of what the Italian builder terms Low Emission Yachts that reduce CO2 emissions ahead of the IMO’s 2030 deadline through a combination of three factors: weight reduction by extensive use of carbon fibre, efficient hull design and hybrid propulsion systems. <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/261625/image/large-df9cf516adca64bad1766415ca5f1516.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/261625">“When we started work on the Seadeck project we asked ourselves what were the necessities required by more environmentally-conscious yachtsmen,” says Federico Lantero, head of product design at Azimut Yachts, during a press presentation in Milan under the slogan ‘Back to Nature’. “We identified three key points: we definitely had to reduce emissions; we had to introduce more sustainable materials; and we had to create a boat designed for family cruising that allowed those on board to enjoy the sea in a very direct and authentic way.”<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/261626/image/large-a9f9acdbf1b90d13e73ac801ca8528fc.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/261626">In fact, the Seadeck will be powered by a Volvo Penta IPS hybrid system to target a 30 percent reduction in fuel consumption, over 40 per of the surface areas will be constructed of carbon fibre, and the planing hulls will be the most efficient ever built by Azimut. In Zero Emission Hotel Mode a battery pack will provide electrical power for amenities, stabilisation and even AC, for up 4 hours at anchor during the day or 8 hours at night with the generators switched off.Other eco-friendly features include solar panels to supplement the battery pack, hot water provided by recovering thermal energy from the main engines, &nbsp;and environmentally-friendly cork for the decking in place of teak. &nbsp;A smart energy management system ensures that in Eco Mode all the appliances and onboard systems consume as little energy as possible. &nbsp;<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/261632/image/large-ea91b1a36b62d9b7b03edbeed9c8cd0e.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/261632">Moreover, the new series introduces a new design concept in open-air living: the Fun Island, a space re-invented to offer a new way to spend family time on board immersed in nature. An evolution of Benetti’s Oasis Deck, this is achieved by using more large, openable glass windows and doors to create interiors and exteriors that become a single space so guests can interact wherever they might be on board.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/261628/image/large-43e565f5bcaea385a777bebf4da0e13f.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/261628">To create the Seadeck Series, Azimut worked with designer Alberto Mancini for the exterior design and layout, and architects Matteo Thun and Antonio Rodriguez for the interior design. UAE-based builder Gulf Craft has announced they will be unveiling a brand-new Nomad superyacht at this year’s Dubai International Boat Show.

Another key feature onboard is her aft pool with euro-transom and full-beam hydraulic swim platform.“The 37XP’s beach club and garage have been replaced with a pool and a full-beam hydraulic swim platform – it’s very on-trend at the moment to maximise exterior elements on sub-45 metre yachts, but what the 40MXP does so well is adding fantastic outdoor living features to the design while retaining the core explorer principles of our XP line," Ömer Malaz, Chairman of Numarine, explained. Yachting Dinner Night, the culinary event dedicated to the leading players of the contemporary superyacht scene, arrived for the second time in Pietrasanta, Viareggio, Italy. &nbsp;<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/261856/image/large-eec070df5f80b9517b72715376fdaa6f.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/261856">The previous two editions in Pietrasanta and Amsterdam were a great success and inspired curators <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/7067" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Towant (Company)">TOWANT</a> and <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/7068" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Ceragioli-Storåkers Associates (Company)">Ceragioli-Storåkers Associates</a> to replicate the event once again. The dinner was held on 14 March.Five shipyards competed against one another to present the best dish to an audience of nautical-architectural practices, international design brands and the press.
