Italian yacht designer Tommaso Spadolini has unveiled the first details of his new 90-metre superyacht concept. The sporty motor yacht features strong exterior lines and has been designed to have close contact with the sea.
Photo: Tommaso SpadoliniThe new superyacht concept has been conceived with a powerful shear for the main deck, emphasised by two strong convex lines for the owner’s and upper decks. “We have worked closely with the owner and his representatives to create a really head-turning design that responds to his three key requirements without sacrificing one iota of practicality,” said Tommaso Spadolini.
Photo: Tommaso SpadoliniSpadolini has designed the yacht to provide plenty of privacy for guests onboard. “Discretion and privacy were a big part of the brief,” Spadolini noted. “We have developed enclosed structures for the stairs and separate crew access so that the owner can be completely cocooned on demand.”
Photo: Tommaso SpadoliniThe concept features a dedicated owner’s deck with 270-degree views from the master suite. The stateroom also includes his and hers ensuite with bath tubs, walk-in wardrobes, a wine cellar, cigar lounge with humidor and an intimate lounge area.
Photo: Tommaso SpadoliniBy flaring the bow and introducing a side deck forward on the upper deck, extra volume has been created on the main deck below. Here, there are six large guest staterooms including two particularly well-appointed VIPs.
Photo: Tommaso SpadoliniThe standout feature of the new design is her beach club aft, arranged over the lower and main decks. The area includes a 150 square-metre lounge area with twin fold-down balconies, as well as a gym, bar, sauna, massage and relaxation area.
Photo: Tommaso SpadoliniThe beach club bathing platform itself amounts to 65 square-metres and the main aft cockpit above fills another 150 square-metres. Within this 365 square-metre beach club is a beautiful glass-backed infinity pool, emphasised by the balconies outside the sliding doors in the upper lounge.
Photo: Tommaso SpadoliniThe concept is able to accommodate a tender of up to nine-metres in her main garage, as well as a huge toy garage forward. She is also equipped with a nine-seat cinema, a 200 square-metre sundeck with pool and a touch-and-go helipad on her foredeck. She is also capable of speeds around 20 knots.
“We have spent many hundreds of hours refining the design of this yacht,” said Spadolini. “It is now ready to move to the next engineering stage. Though we are currently studying some larger designs for potential clients, this is the biggest yacht we have brought to such a stage of detail. It is very dear to me, like a member of the family.”
