Italy-based designer <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/118" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Studio Arch. Tommaso Spadolini (Company)">Tommaso Spadolini</a> has unveiled the first renderings for a new 48.5-metre superyacht concept. The motor yacht was designed with a specific owner in mind who was looking for a more spacious design from his current 35-metre yacht.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/260720/image/large-2e9f6b915b88c880e8684f344ab2c08d.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/260720">The strictly displacement hull measures 48.5-metres in overall length, which becomes 46-metres at the waterline. Her hull will be built from steel, while her superstructure will be made of aluminium, with an overall GT of approximately 490 tons.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/260722/image/large-ad92f30fb7bdee1f933f4bca4c394d66.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/260722">“The hypothetical profile of this 48-metre yacht is a ‘classic trending to modern’ style,” commented designer <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/118" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Studio Arch. Tommaso Spadolini (Company)">Tommaso Spadolini</a>. “We were expressly asked for a semi-vertical bow and other specific choices such as large free areas in her flybridge. The relationship with the water is therefore mainly experienced through the large aft swim platform and its comfortable and inviting access to the sea.”<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/260718/image/large-0ff1a58fb8b29d9b60a500d43c0bbc18.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/260718">The owner requested a larger yacht around 50-metres that would allow them to better enjoy their large family during the summer holidays and had some very specific requests for her design. “There had to be large windows, the owner's suite had to be located on the main deck towards the bow, with the four guest and four crew cabins on the lower deck, and the captain's quarters had to be on the upper deck,” explained designer <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/118" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Studio Arch. She also has another 7-metre saloon on her upper deck. “Obviously, at this stage we haven't considered any furniture arrangements,” continued <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/118" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Studio Arch. Tommaso Spadolini (Company)">Tommaso Spadolini</a>. “The numerous solar panels guarantee good energy autonomy, allowing everyone to enjoy moonlit evenings in a bay without the hum of the generators. But they also show concern for the environment, which is increasingly important to the new generations,” concluded <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/118" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Studio Arch. Moreover, an owner’s suite can be found on the main deck and is complete with both a private office and spacious walk-in closet. Rather than build to a governed length, I let the length reveal itself after the spaces were established.”“The idyllic exterior proportions are meant to disguise the wide-beam high-volume shape with a timeless silhouette that also exudes a fresh, modern feel,” <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/7538" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Christian Oliver Design (Company)">Christian Oliver</a> continued. “The highly sculpted hull surfaces have a teardrop shape inspired by classic runabouts.” <img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/331712/image/large-aacab9461b4a19519e06168010b91637.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/331712">One of Concept Fifty-Nine’s most notable traits is her generous aft beach club, with a 1.2-metre deep pool that has the option to be heated up. The pool is situated close to the water level, so that guests can immerse themselves in the surrounding seascape. Meanwhile, the port and starboard integrated seating in the side hulls, bustles for those onboard to unwind.&nbsp;From here, the aft door leads to a vast beach club with a bar at the forward end of the pool, creating a ‘swim-up’ effect. The beach club is also decked out with a fitness area, dayhead, and changing room. The Perfect Charter Yacht’s six staterooms can be joined in pairs to form three spacious VIP suites, complete with lounge areas. Moreover, sliding doors either divide or unite the suites, making the spaces ideal for families chartering with children in adjacent staterooms.&nbsp;Outside, the vessel’s multi-level aft terraces allow guests to take in the scenery, while a swimming pool, sun loungers, and alfresco dining area allow for outdoor activities. During winter, two weeks at the high season rate and two weeks at the slightly lower rate would be easily achievable.
