Hawk Yacht’s line of explorer yachts
Back in February this year Hawk Yachts announced the addition of two new models to its explorer yacht line up. A 75-metre version named Sky Hawk and the 56-metre Cape Hawk now rounds off the yachting brand’s fully tested and developed explorer range.

Impossible Production’s 100m explorer concept
New York based yacht design studio Impossible Productions has designed a new 100 metre hybrid explorer yacht concept in partnership with Tim Dempers Studio in Cape Town, South Africa. Presented for the first time here on SYT in March this year, the yacht serves as a multifunction platform that provides a reconfigurable cargo deck with two striking accommodation pods on either side. The tenders and even a helicopter are stowed in sealed climate controlled environments to protect from exterior elements.

The 82m Kilkea project by Bannenberg & Rowell
Kilkea is a new build project managed by Edmiston that offers clients the chance to acquire a customised explorer yacht based on a proven and tested offshore platform. In March the Banneberg & Rowell studio revealed its tough-looking exterior plan that will blend the proven sea keeping abilities of the platform with modern superyacht-standard features.

Timur Bozca’s 55m Cauta sailing yacht
Turkish designer Timur Bozca has revealed a new lightweight high performance sailing yacht in April this year. Packed with a range of high-tech features, the 55-metre concept, named Cauta, is designed with a carbon fibre hull and fitted with a revolutionary Dynarig system to increase efficiency and enhance the sailing pleasure on board.

Shaddai: the 150m towering superyacht
Certainly one of the most unusal superyacht concepts of 2016, the radical 150-metre Shaddai was unveiled in April and quickly spread across social media channels with its rising penthouse-like structure overlooking the surroundings. Inspired by contemporary architecture, the yacht featires two infinity pools and a 300 square metre beach club.

The A Group’s 110m Acuore
Monaco-based design company, The A Group, presented their high-volume 110-metre superyacht Acuore in August following the delivery of their creative 101-metre superyacht IDynasty was delivered in 2015. The studio continued its recognisable style with this concept, introducing clean exterior lines, generous volumes and the original shark fin archon the top deck to round things off with.

51m sailing yacht concept by Malcolm Mckeon
Early September we shared with you Malcolm McKeon Design’s Project MM51 sailing yacht concept. Measuring 51 metres, the sloop will be constructed in aluminium and emphasises comfortable and safe performance cruising. One of the cool features of the project is the sleek glass canopy that creates an airy feel in the main saloon whilst controlling heat absorption with reflective interlayers in the large glass panels.

Sam Sorgiovanni’s 120m Trimaran design
Just ahead of the Monaco Yacht Show this year, the Australian trio of Echo Yachts, designer Sam Sorgiovanni, and One2Three Naval Architects have released a radical new superyacht design project. Based on the shipyard's expertise in building large trimaran vessels, the 120-metre project is developed and engineered to be built as a modern-day superyacht.

The Sinot-designed Zen concept
The Dutch duo of Sinot Exclusive Yacht Design and luxury yacht builder Feadship have teamed up to create the fully-developed 80-metre superyacht concept Zen. An extraordinary use of glass creates an indoor experience like never before in a panoramic stern lounge where guests can enjoy the outdoors from the comfort of this unique onboard space.

Facheris Design’s Aqueous 120
The sporty 120-metre superyacht Aqueous came from the Floridian design office Facheris Design in March this year. The design team drew inspiration from the automotive industry in the same way that aerodynamics plays a role in the actual design of the vehicle. The result is a stunningly dynamic and aggressive silhouette that reveals a uniquely sleek appearance for a vessel of this size.
