Transforming great ideas into great interiors with List GC

From humble beginnings as a small family joinery business founded in 1950, the Austrian General Contractor has continued to expand and have made their way into the superyacht industry. List General Contractor (List GC) has remained a family business and is now in the hands of the third generation of the List family. Having just opened a new manufacturing plant in Bad Erlach, south of Vienna, the company now operates on over 14,000 square metres and is moving from strength to strength.

Hungry for more, the company began working on cruise ship interiors in the mid-1990s. By 2000, List GC had transferred its attention to superyachts. Having refined their craft over the years, the general contractor offers everything from planning through to project management to production and assembly of its interior products.

Interior furnishings such as individual items of furniture, ceiling and floor panelling solutions are fashioned out of high-quality materials. With the majority of their furnishings made using wood, they can be coated with veneers, high gloss lacquer, fabric, leather or gold leaf. Precious materials such as gold, marble, mother of pearl or finishes such as marquetry can be used to accentuate special accents on furniture creations. On a recent project, the interior outfitter used close to 300 special finishes, including using unique combinations of wood and liquid metals.
