Palladium Technologies today announced that the company has installed its SiMON monitoring and alarm system on the new 164-foot, tri-deck Trinity motoryacht, Mine Games.
Installation of Palladium’s SiMON technology included five fully functional monitoring/alarm stations as well as alarm/acknowledgement panels in the Pilothouse, Engine Control, Crew Area, Engineers Cabin and the Switchboard room. Over 150 sensor points interface to the CAT CCM electronic engines and the Power Panels Inc. Kilopak Generators. Controlled and alarmed areas also include security and watertight doors, HVAC, tanks, bilges, pumps and valves, fire systems, hydraulics, the electrical AC/DC system, and the air compressor system.
“SiMON serves as an ever-vigilant virtual engineer, constantly harvesting data supplied by sensor points from each of the ship’s systems to generate a wealth of information. This allows the captain and crew to not only monitor status, but maximize performance,” said Michael Blake, president of Palladium Technologies. “Mine Games is our second installation following the successful fitting of Trinity’s Lady Michelle with the SiMON system. We are especially pleased to supply our monitoring solution for yet another of Trinity’s impressive yachts.”
Mine Games features a custom traditional interior design by Patrick Knowles, with elements including forged black iron railings with gold accents, a 180-degree panoramic view from the master stateroom, and an old-world painting on canvas of an Italian countryside villa covering the entire outboard bulkhead of the main deck dayhead. Twin Caterpillar engines 3516B-HD producing 3,384 horsepower at 1800 RPM provide propulsion. The vessel was launched in August, 2007 and has made its first successful voyage this past week to Fort Lauderdale.
