Having been under construction for the past year, Turkish shipyard Turquoise Yachts have announced that their main build shed has now doubled in size. Measuring 165 metres in length by 40 metres, the newly completed construction facility is able to accommodate three build projects of 80 metres each.
Helping serve operations between the company’s two yards in Koceali and Pendik outside Istanbul, is a new 2500-ton floating dock that’s purpose will be to transport yachts between the two facilities.
Turquoise Yachts are currently busy with the construction of three superyachts ranging from 47m to 81 metres. Scheduled delivery for these projects range from late 2016 to the end of 2018. In the last quarter of 2015, the yard reported the start of another project; an 80m Vitruvius designed superyacht.
