Two launches coming up at Columbus Yachts

Part of the Palumbo Group, Columbus Yachts has announced that they will be launching two new superyachts very soon. The first is a Classic 57 metre vessel which since its inception has been shrouded in secrecy, as well as hull no.2 of the 40 metre Sport Hybrid.

The 57 metre is a full displacement steel and aluminium yacht belonging to the Classic line inaugurated by Prima, which was also the very first yacht branded Columbus Yachts. Inside her interiors have been described as eclectic, using a range of woods, mirrors and marble.

The Sport Hybrid 40 metre has been built on the proven platform of the 40S Hybrid, launched in August 2013. She includes many of the same features seen on the first hull of the series, with an aerodynamic light-weight aluminum hull, innovative exterior lines and a modern, functional interior lay-out. In addition, she also comes with an "eco-friendly" optional advanced hybrid propulsion. Inside she boasts large windows as well as expansive balconies.

The brand states, “Columbus Yachts’ team can’t wait to see its creatures gently lowered into the water. Another big step ahead towards a great future for the leading Mediterranean Yachting network of Palumbo Group.”

The brand new yachts will officially be revealed to the public at next Monaco Boat Show.
