Ocean Alexander has announced the sale of two 30.53-metre hulls from its Ocean Alexander 100 series, hull numbers OA10011 and OA10009. Brandon Flaherty, with MarineMax Yachts, represented the buyer of one hull, and Niel Steenkamp, with Alexander Marine USA, representing the buyers of the second hull. The naval architecture for both hulls has been designed in-house at Ocean Alexander while the interior and exteriors have been commissioned by the studios of Evan K Marshall. The OA100 series includes an open-flybridge design and the option to include a second owner’s suite in a semi-customisable layout.Photo: Merijn de Waard / SuperYacht Times“Having the yacht available for immediate delivery, fully commissioned and ready to launch was a key selling decision as well,” Flaherty explained.Niel Steenkamp added, “The new owner loves the space designed into this yacht. Often times some areas are sacrificed to make others more appealing, but not with the OA 100. In addition to the amenities provided by the expansive interiors, the ease of handling and the quietness of the yacht while underway were also major factors in this purchase.”Photo: Merijn de Waard / SuperYacht TimesBoth hulls are built in GRP and are powered by two CAT 1924 HP diesel engines.
The OA100 series debuted at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in 2014. Ocean Alexander manufacturers yachts in Taiwan and the United States, and is currently one of the top-selling yards in the US market for models ranging from 70 to 120 feet in length.
At the time of sale, each hull was listed for $9,680,000.
