Norwegian offshore shipbuilding company, Ulstein, has signed its first contract for the build of a private explorer yacht. The yacht is designed by renowned designer Espen Oeino and is based on a tested and proven X-Bow platform developed by Ulstein measuring 88.5 metres in length with a hefty beam of 16.3 metres.

We are very pleased that we were chosen to develop the marine platform and that our shipyard will be the one to build this vessel. This is a very important contract for us in a new and interesting market”, says CEO Gunvor Ulstein in Ulstein Group.

The shipyard reports that the vessel is scheduled for delivery in early 2018.
