New photos from Ulsteinvik in Norway show the 116-metre explorer yacht U116 now in an advanced stage of construction. The vessel is expected to have her technical and navigational features outfitted and fine-tuned over the coming weeks that will allow her to safely cruise to Bremerhaven in Germany, where cosmetic outfitting will take place.

U116 is being built for New Zealand businessman, Graeme Hart, who is also the man behind one of 2016’s most popular yachts; the 107-metre Ulysses. As sistership to Ulysses, U116 will essentially be a larger, more refined version of her 107-metre sibling once delivered in 2017.

These images display a repeat of some of the features that have made Ulysses so unique, such as the large tender bay on her well deck area, aggressive expedition styling, and go-anywhere capabilities. Suave and sophisticated but also welcoming and family-friendly, the colour palette in the main saloon and dining room, which take advantage of the full 9.6-metre beam, is based on aquamarine and ivory soft furnishings combined with warm wood veneers, natural leathers and full-height windows for exceptional light and panoramic views.
