In a recent milestone development in the construction of the largest Oyster yacht to have been built in the U.K. to date, the British shipyard successfully transported the GRP moulded hull of its first Oyster 118 sailing yacht to the shipyard in Southampton where she will be completed. With construction having started last year, the project is expected to be ready for delivery in 2018.
Featuring a highly customisable interior, the first 118 unit is set up with family use in mind specifically. The lower accommodation level will consist of five guest cabins all placed in the aft part of the vessel, with three crew cabins up forward in the bow section.
Oyster reports that interest in the project is high with negations for the build of hull number two already in an advanced stage.
