Dutch company V-Technology are set to reveal their latest innovative product at the upcoming edition of METSTRADE, due to kick off tomorrow in Amsterdam.

Their latest offering is the retractable Sun Awning, featuring a large amount of technological solutions including a one-motor drive system with smooth controlled speeds, allowing the system to remain both silent and compact. Notable features of the product include the use polished stainless steel tubes for the awning system, offering a more aerodynamic surface ideal for the windy environments often experienced on board superyachts.

As an option the system can be connected to the anemometer of the wheelhouse to make sure the awning system goes in automatically with high wind speeds.

V-Technology will also present a range of other products at the METS, including the Rotating Sofa and Rotating Floor, Elevators, Tender Launch Systems, and their Rotating Sun Awning. This legal framework aimed to enable them to restructure, while continuing to operate under the supervision of an independent expert.Following this, on 20 April, the Court of Florence granted protective measures for a maximum period of four months, restricting creditors from initiating or continuing enforcement actions against the company’s assets, including vessels currently under construction.The court also confirmed that these protective measures extended to shipowners, which prevented them from terminating their contracts of yachts currently under construction during the proceedings.The Court of Florence has now issued an order upholding the appeals filed by five shipowners which prevented them terminating their contracts.
