Pieter van Geest of Van Geest Design has just released drawings of his latest project, the Open 90 superyacht. Pieter says, “the Open 90 pursues the interior / exterior interactions on board, extending the living, lounging areas to the exterior in a terrace arrangement, landscaped architecture.”
Sleek lines & 3D volumes, give the Open 90 a clean impression resulting in straight forward engineering, keeping it simple to build. All system & safety equipment are integrated in the lateral bulwarks, while the forward & aft are framed with glass, giving a visual opening to the travelled destination.
The full beam Owner’s suite with lateral private balconies spreads over the 360 m2 exclusive private Owner's deck which features a straight walk through 360 degrees saloon and outside lounge.
The Bridge Deck has a helicopter-pad which is situated at the front of the bridge. Behind the bridge area the main saloon and owner/guest entertaining areas. The Main Deck features the guest lounge areas & cabins.
The lower deck is foreseen for the spa, wellness area at water level, giving one visions of running on the sea landscape. All tenders & toys are anticipated to be stored forward from the spa, for user friendly access. The crew areas will be from mid ship to forward with exclusive service circulation designed to go through all decks.
Variations of this general plan are being studied and detailing undertaken to suit different requests and requirements.
