Van Geest Design (VGD) has send us details of one of their latest projects, the 42 meter VGD Explorer. She is a unique yacht, combining luxury with global exploring capabilities, with the ability to cope with all conditions.
With her striking appearance, this superyacht will look at home in all climates and is fully fitted out to enjoy each of them. The tender storage on the aft deck and the forward positioned superstructure give the initial impression of a workboat style. This feeling is enhanced by details like the funnel, open transom corners and high bow. Round shapes and general layout complement this yacht with superyacht finesse.
Her sundeck features a Jacuzzi, sun beds, and several lounge and dining options. The sundeck also features a day head and access to the lower decks. Below, her bridge deck offers a large lounge with panoramic views, and on deck dining.
A large owners cabin with office is located on the main deck, as well as a large galley and the main salon and dining room. Her main aft deck features cranes and storage for a sailboat and/or tenders.
The lower deck features the guest cabins, and crew forward. The engine room has a separated control room and maintenance workshop. From the lower deck, there is direct access to aft platform as well as access to dive room.
