Vanquish signs new super fast VQ115 superyacht

Written by Charl van Rooy

Vanquish Superyachts, sister company to Vanquish Yachts in the Netherlands, has been commissioned by a repeat client to build the yard’s first Vanquish VQ115 superyacht. The high-performance 35-metre motor yacht will be one of the fastest yachts on the water with a top speed of 53 knots. Delivery of the project is expected to take place in June 2022 and the yard reports that it will soon start construction on two other models in the line. Vanquish VQ115 Veloce yacht rendering Photo: Vanquish Yachts

Dutch designer Guido de Groot is behind the familiar sporty exterior of the VQ115 that shares the same style as previous projects from Vanquish. Designed to go fast, a slender hull shape developed by Studio Delta will accommodate the three MTU-Rolls-Royce 2600 engines that power the surface drives of the VQ115. Petestep from Sweden helped refine the design to boost performance levels by 15% with increased efficiency at top speeds. The yacht will have a range of 600 nm when running with one or two of its engines. Vanquish VQ115 Veloce yacht layoutPhoto: Vanquish Yachts

What started as a VQ90 concept soon grew into something bigger, with the owner looking for as much space as possible to fulfil his entertainment requirements. A large foredeck, flybridge and main deck aft area that slopes down to the swim platform are all on offer for outdoor relaxation.Vanquish VQ115 Veloce yacht layoutPhoto: Vanquish Yachts

The interior has been optimised to make the most of the available space and includes a country-style galley on the lower deck along with an office area and main saloon on the main deck. Accommodation is moved to the lower deck where a full-beam master suite, VIP stateroom and a guest cabin can be found. Additional quarters for four crew members are also located on this deck. Vanquish VQ115 Veloce yacht layoutPhoto: Vanquish Yachts
