In review: Versilia Yachting Rendez-vous 2019

The third edition of the Versilia Yachting Rendez-vous welcomed more than 22,000 visitors this year. Taking place in Viareggio between 9-12th May, the international trade fair aimed at the high-end nautical sector showcased shipbuilding and accessories from exhibitors all around the world. Numerous vessels made their debut appearances during the show including the Azimut Benetti Group's Atlantis 45 and the Solaris Power 55 from Solaris: a model designed by Brunello Acampora. This 'Boating Market Monitor' research project, which highlights the weight of the sector in the global luxury market showed that, as of 2018, the global retail market had a value of 22 billion. In addition, the show also included various business-focused events, such as the B&ST - Broker and Shipyard Trading networking event organised by Navigo and a busy calendar of trade conferences arranged by Nautica Italiana.Versilia Yachting Rendezvous 2019Photo: Merijn de Waard / SuperYacht TimesThe annual Rendezvous event is organised by Fiera Milano in collaboration with Nautica Italiana, with the support of the Technological District for Tuscan Nautical and Ports, the Tuscan Regional Authorities and Toscana Promozione and the Municipality of Viareggio, and the patronage of Municipality of Forte dei Marmi, Municipality of Lucca and Municipality of Pietrasanta.

Lamberto Tacoli, Nautica Italiana President commented: “The event's growth continued once again this year, both for the boats present and for the exhibitors on the ground: progress has certainly been made. The presence of President Rossi and Deputy Minister Rixi, Minister Toninell's visit and the presence of many other Regional Institutions brought an important sense of greater attention and importance to the Italian nautical sector, a sector that remains fundamental and illustrious for our country."
