Crypto-mania: Superyacht Vianne offered in Crypto and NFTs
Fancy swapping your digital art for a charter around the Bahamas? Well, now you can. You can even trade in a digital superyacht – that is if you’re the owner of the exclusive NFT Metaflower superyacht – for a tangible yachting experience. The owner of the 52-metre motor yacht Vianne has opened offers beyond traditional currencies, offers span beyond Bitcoin and more mainstream digital currencies – if mainstream can be used to describe digital coins – as it has been announced that anything but a postcard can be taken as payment.

For those looking to purchase Vianne a 10 per cent down payment in Euros or US Dollars is necessary, but after that the remaining amount can be paid in any major cryptocurrencies or leading NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens).
As we wrote before, the motor yacht for sale is a timeless classic that holds true to the Benetti charm. Her styling was a collaborative effort and the results are astounding. Vianne is opulently appointed and equipped with an abundance of amenities that include a helipad, a Jacuzzi and a plethora of water toys.
While this acceptance of cryptocurrencies is radical, it’s not novel. Denison Yachting, for one, has been facilitating payments of this kind for seven years now. To date, seven wallet-to-wallet payments have been secured, and the brokers have their eyes on landing three more before the year is through. To capitalise on this potentially tectonic shift in the financial landscape, Denison Yachting has installed eight bitcoin miners in-house.
Designers have also been driving the trend. 3deluxe's outrageously redefining VY-01 concept that inverses the indoor spaces to outdoor living – if you’re thinking of the Eden Project, you’re not far off the mark – is accepting NFTs for payments. This, to our knowledge, is the first concept to accept NFTs for payment.
We asked earlier this month whether this trend was here to stay – and in just a matter of weeks there are whispers that this may be so. Azteca, the largest superyacht to date listed for sale in bitcoin, was recently sold. Whether the sale was concluded using the currency is unknown, but it is highly possible.
We then have this news, which is gaining great momentum within the industry and also through major media outlets. Interest in the topic is most definitely high, whether the traction remains true is yet to be seen.
