You may have seen them last month whizzing through traffic last month during the Monaco Yacht Show, the personalized VSY-Viareggio Superyachts blue bicycles, carrying the yard's top management.
VSY combined pleasure and eco-sustainability by using their own bicycles to move around Monaco during the Yacht Show. A simple idea that reinforces the yard’s Eco-Green vision and offers a small contribution towards the improvement of the quality of life for ourselves and future generations.
The yard is full of green solutions, such as the use of recyclable materials in their superyachts, engines able to run on high quality fuels, resulting in a drastic reduction of harmful emissions, water treatment systems that produce biologically transparent and odourless discharges, electric auxiliary engines for use in port which eliminate the need for the main engine, and a green anchoring system which stations the yacht by dynamic positioning for use where traditional anchoring is prohibited due to danger of damage, such as on coral reefs or in Scandinavian fjords.
