It also blends style and speed with very livable interiors, offering two cabins with twin berths, one forward and the other amidships, a comfortable galley and head with separate shower. Special features of this Vicem Line are a stern mounted automatic swim platform that closes and becomes an integral part of the hull, a sun bathing area at the bow with a bimini-top, living space aboard for up to ten guests and two large cabins with king size beds, along with the detailed attention of the cockpit. This option means easier docking, lower fuel consumption and 30% lower emissions compared to traditional propulsion. Alternatively, one can opt for high performance, with twin 800HP MAN R6 engines option coupled with ASD - Arneson Surface Drive transmissions and reach a top speed of over 50 knots. The first is a semi-open space of 320 square-meters on the main deck, with opening terraces, extendable to 400 square-meters, and with a gym and beach club aft. Designer Christian Leyk of <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/6643" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Coquine![design] (Company)">coquine![design]</a> has unveiled his first design of 2023, the 88-metre superyacht Steamer 888. The bold motor yacht sees a collaboration between France-based design studio <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/7105" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Silvia Iraghi Interiors (Company)">Silvia Iraghi</a> and <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/6643" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Coquine![design] (Company)">coquine![design]</a> to create an impressive superyacht concept.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/265332/image/large-d980f0bae07c9ad4ce4e12b0dc458085.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/265332">Steamer 888 takes inspiration from the Art-Deco skyscraper, known as the Chrysler Building, on the East Side of Manhattan in New York City, USA. “Steamer 888 picks up on the Art-Deco vibes and the streamline design of the thirties, with a strong influence from nautical themes,” explained designer Christian Leyk.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/265333/image/large-692ae95dad87b05099d5c6e0b270bff1.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/265333">“We decided on a sleek and fairly narrow fast displacement hull, for efficient long distance cruising at a reasonable speed.
