The STP Shipyard Palma recently released the following video of the lifting of the 66.7 metre sailing yacht Hetairos, which arrived at the Balearics shipyard for refit and maintenance works in December.
Hetairos was built by the Finnish Baltic shipyard in 2011. She features naval architecture and exterior design from Dykstra Naval Architects, whilst Rhoades Young Design undertook her interior design.
STP Shipyard Palma comments on the successful lifting of the vessel, stating, “Over the course of about six hours and 12 people involved in the maneuver, including divers, sailors, travelift managers and safety staff, it was hoisted S/Y Hetairos with the largest travelift STP has among its equipment and allowing lifting up to 700 tons. This activity was coordinated with great accuracy thanks to STP’s team of professionals, which allowed the maneuver with agility and security from the pit where the sailing yacht was received into the shoring and accommodation place.”
