Vripack presents impressive 132' Expedition Motor Yacht

Vripack Naval Architects proudly presents their most recent and breath-taking project: the 132' Expedition Motor Yacht. This yacht, with its sophisticated and impressive design, is under tender at the moment at various international shipyards and is planned to be presented and delivered in 2009.

photo 122357Vripack's ability to deliver high standard designs has resulted in this state-of-the-art yacht with an overall length of 132ft and a maximum beam of 30ft. With an 8ft draught and a 60ft height above DWL, the yacht has a displacement of 317t.

To meet all necessary requirements of the Regulatory Bodies to prevent flooding and instability, the yacht will contain five watertight bulkhead divisions. The hull will be constructed of welded steel and the superstructure of aluminium.

This seaworthy, Classed and MCA compliant design has a flared bow, twin screws and an integrated swim platform providing easy access to the tender garage. It is designed and built for frequent worldwide and transatlantic cruising and with its spacious interior it can comfortably accommodate a maximum of 14 persons. Divided over two decks, it provides an owner's cabin with double berth, two guest cabins with two single berths in each cabin and one VIP cabin with a double berth. For the captain and crew there are respectively a double berth and two single berths.

The truly eye-catching combination of Bubinga and wengé joinery, white suede wall panels and frosted glass doors with polished steel strips, gives the interior a bright and neat but "dramatic" look. The wengé floor and the inlaid leather floor panels are interestingly emphasized by the indirect ceiling lighting. Chromed hardware with stitched leather combined with Italian furniture upholstered with design fabrics, suedes and leather, create the finishing touch.

Vripack, launched in 1961, has become the world's largest independent and most prominent yacht design office, and is established in Sneek, a famous sailing town in the heart of the lake district in the north of The Netherlands.
