Barong D in Grand Harbour Marina, Malta
One of the latest Wally’s out on the water today is the 33-metre high-performance sailing yacht Barong D. Built for an experienced owner and launch in 2016, Barong D is a replacement for the owner’s previous yachts named Barong B and Barong C. Developed by Frers Naval Architects, the yacht is designed as the studio’s latest generation of high-performance superyachts characterised by a wide hull. The yacht is packed with modern-day technology developed by Wally’s in-house R&D team such as the Wally submarine anchor and a rig with swept back spreaders and no running backstays. Here she is seen in her home port of Valetta.
