50m Westport superyacht Bacchus sold in Florida
The 49.93-metre Westport superyacht Bacchus sold off-market in Florida, the United States. Peter Kehoe of Peter Kehoe & Associates introduced the buyer, while Chris Daves of Denison Yachting represented the seller.Bacchus was delivered in 2009 to a design by Donald Starkey, as part of the Westport 164 series. Sheโs been well maintained, undertaking a refit between 2013 and 2014 where her aft bridge deck was extended, a new large Jacuzzi fitted and her interior completely overhauled. Bacchus has had numerous maintenance and shipyard visits since.
The sub-500 GT superyacht can accommodate as many as 12 guests in six staterooms, including an outstanding master suite with exclusive access to a private sun deck and dining area. Bacchus has a light, modern feel and her soft palette of neutral colours contrast well against her varnished wood panelling.
Bacchus was engineered by William Garden and is constructed with a GRP hull and superstructure. Sheโs been equipped with twin MTU engines that deliver a cruising speed of 20 knots and a top speed. Bacchus has a 3,700 nautical mile range at 12 knots.
