World Superyacht Award winners announced

Last Saturday the winners of the World Superyacht Awards were announced at the luxurious Çırağan Palace Kempinski in Istanbul, Turkey. The most prestigious awards, Motor Yacht of the Year and Sailing Yacht of the Year, were won by the 77.70 metre Feadship superyacht Tango and the 67.20 metre Alloy Yachts superyacht Vertigo.

MOTOR YACHT AWARD WINNERS:

Motor Yacht of the Year:

Winner: Tango

Built by Feadship Royal Van Lent, the 77.70 metre Tango features interior and exterior design by Eidsgaard. Tango was sold by Chris Cecil-wright of Edmiston and managed from conception to completion by Edmiston yacht management. The team of Edmiston was delighted with the award for M/Y Tango and hailed their relationship with Feadship as another highly successful collaboration.

Winner: Serene

Displacement Motor Yacht 1,300GT to 2,999GT

Winner: Tango

Judges’ Special Award – Interior Design with the Widest Appeal

Winner: Numptia

Displacement Motor Yacht of 500GT to 1,299GT

Winner: Kaiser

Judges’ Commendation: Prima

Displacement Motor Yacht of Below 500GT

Winner: Helix

Judges’ Commendation: E&E

Judges’ Commendation: Karia

Three Deck Semi-Displacement or Planning Motor Yachts

Winner: Satori

Two Deck & Open Semi-Displacement or Planning Motor Yachts

Winner: Shooting Star

Raised Pilothouse Semi-Displacement or Planning Motor Yachts

Winner: Aurelia

Sailing Yacht of the Year

Winner: Vertigo
