The 31.09-metre CdM motor yacht Acala has been sold to an American owner, with Alex G. Clarke from Denison Yachting representing both the seller and the buyer in the deal. 
Photo: Cantiere delle MarcheLaunched in 2015, the steel and aluminium explorer yacht Acala belongs to the Darwin Class series designed by Sergio Cutolo from Hydro Tec, of which 12 units have been sold to date. 
Photo: Cantiere delle MarcheBuilt for an experienced owner and passionate diver – who has also owned several other yachts including a Lürssen and a Feadship – Acala boasts several customisations including a two-tonne crane for launching a 6-metre+ tender, air-conditioned outdoor areas and a state-of-the-art diving centre in the lazarette with Nitrox compressor, tank holder and lockers.

Two pullman beds in both twin cabins take the total number of guests aboard to 12. Crew quarters for up to six can also be found on the main deck forward.

Power to the vessel is provided by twin 500 kW CAT C-18 engines that offer a top speed of 13 knots and with frugal fuel consumption that offers a range of 4,500nm at 10 knots.
