The 38-metre Benetti motor yacht Bangadang, which is the eighth model of the Fast 125 series, has been delivered to her owner in Viareggio last month ahead of her appearance at the upcoming Cannes Yachting Festival. Her exterior was designed by Italian naval architect Stefano Righini and she features interiors by UK-based firm RWD. She’s also fitted with low drag and highly efficient Azipull carbon thrusters. These two technologies help the vessel reduce consumption, lessen the vibration and make for quieter running.
Inside, the interior design team have continued the ‘Air’ style solution available for the Fast 125 model, with furnishings by top Italian brands like Cassina, Minotti, B&B, Meridiani and Paola Lenti. With oak parquet flooring, the main deck is dedicated to more formal occasions and is fitted with sofas, chaises longues, two armchairs and a table to seat up to ten guests. The owner’s stateroom can also be found on this level and includes an office space, panoramic windows and a private bathroom with a marble floor.
The lower deck is home to the engine room and the garage, which can hold two jet skis and one tender. This deck is also the location of four guest staterooms, each with private bathroom, as well as quarters for the crew, who have three more cabins higher up. The captain has a private cabin next to the wheelhouse on the upper deck, which also features spacious outdoor areas, a bar area and a communicating pantry.
Bangadang also has a second helm station on the sundeck, unlike any other Fast 125 model. Propelled by twin MTU 12V 2000 M94 diesel engines, she can reach a top speed of 24 knots, cruise at 18.5 knots to achieve a nautical range of 1,250 nautical miles at 12 knots.
