Support yacht Blue Ocean ready for delivery

After successfully completing sea trials in Antalya this week, the new 55-metre support yacht Blue Ocean from Damen Yachting is standing by to be delivered. Currently for sale, the highly-specced Yacht Support vessel will be showcased at Damen Yachting’s Private View event to be held in September at its facility in Vlissingen, the Netherlands. Blue Ocean is the eighth YS 5009 unit in the brand’s growing fleet of support yachts and was designed and built for adventure cruising with a specific focus on facilitating diving operations. She is the first of her kind to be built with a dedicated main deck hangar that can be used as a vehicle storage space or technical workshop. Damen Yachting offers an optional A-frame crane that can be mounted for the safe launching of craft such as submersibles. Not only designed to be functional, Blue Ocean can also comfortably welcome up to eight overnight guests in four individual cabins for longer dive excursions or off-the-beaten-track trips with friends. Built for all-weather cruising, the vessel can reach speeds of up to 20 knots and cover a distance of 5,000 nm without having to refuel. The sub 500 GT Blue Ocean has a draft of 3 metres that allows her to safely cruise in shallower areas.
