In an environment when most firms have been forced to downsize, Northrop and Johnson of Newport, Rhode Island expand their sales force with the exciting addition of industry veteran Robert Jarrett.
Hailing from Harbor Springs Michigan, Jarrett began his professional career as a ski company sales representative which afforded him the summers to race sailboats on the Great Lakes. Involvement in North American and World sailing championships on the East Coast introduced him to Newport where he hoped to plant his roots and one day further his career.
In the twenty years since relocating to New England, Jarrett has represented hundreds of families in the acquisition and sale of their yachts and has amassed more than two decades of experience as a Vice President, Senior Sales Director, and Managing Broker for leading firms. He is known for his superior, hands-on client care and honest, reliable representation and has worked on behalf of top builders including Hatteras, Grand Banks, Sabre and Hinckley.
Jarrett is skilled in all aspects of the business involving brokerage and new construction of sailing and motor yachts. He has extensive firsthand experience as a yachtsman and has logged thousands of miles racing and cruising the Great Lakes, Atlantic Coast, Gulf of Mexico, and the Caribbean. He is an active member of YBAA, holds CPYB certification, and is a licensed Florida Yacht and Ship Salesman.
