Two separate yacht fires broke out in the early morning hours of Saturday in Fort Lauderdale where the 29.9-metre Hargrave Tigers Eye and 28.5-metre Benetti Princeville were destroyed. Officials have confirmed that no serious personal injuries were sustained as a result of the fires.

Moored in Lauderdale Marine Centre, some 50 firefighters battled to save the Benetti Delfino superyacht Princeville, while less than a mile away, the same number of Fire Rescue members were called out to save motor yacht Tiger Eye where she was docked riverside.

The causes of these fires are still unclear and the extent of the damage is being investigated.
