Hitting the water for the first time today at The Italian Sea Group’s shipyard was the 55.2-metre yacht Geco. Over 200 guests saw her custom metallic and sleek profile designed by The Italian Sea Group’s flagship brand Admiral for the first time.

Photo: The Italian Sea GroupInside Geco, her custom interior design covers her six staterooms - including a full-beam master and VIP staterooms - in a style that the owner requested to be “a very social and relaxed environment” that is said to be a mix of contemporary Italian with a French allure. Materials such as French wood, Italian marble, bronzed metal and leather are used for detailing throughout the new superyacht to contrast against tones of navy blue and cognac orange. 
Photo: The Italian Sea GroupOther features include a large jacuzzi pool, numerous outdoor lounge areas for alfresco living such as a sundeck with gym equipment and a touch-and-go helipad which can be transformed into a ‘Buddha Bar’ lounge area with an outdoor cinema. The innovative beach area club is completed by high glass side walls designed to offer protection as well as a large sunbathing platform served by an ultra-modern staircase for access to the sea.
With surveyor Matthew Sainz and the owner’s team in attendance, Michel Chryssicopoulos of IYC spoke as the owner's team representative: “It gives us great satisfaction to see the huge amount of hard work materialize in such a beautiful custom-built yacht. Despite the difficulties of these unprecedented times, the team and the shipyard worked seamlessly together to achieve this stunning result.” 
Complete with a fully-stocked toy store that includes three jet skis, an inflatable jet ski dock, a waterslide, a climbing wall, clear-bottomed kayaks and diving gear, Geco is to be powered by twin CAT C32 engines, allowing her to reach up to 18 knots. “The launch of this yacht represents not only the result of the work and the constant sacrifice of the team involved in her construction but also the realisation of all the founding values of our company, from the refinement of details to the extraordinary care in achieving increasingly ambitious quality standards” commented Giovanni Costantino, Admiral’s CEO. “We are looking forward to welcoming Geco’s first guests on board this summer,” commented Captain George Ioannou, who is one of 13 crew members. “She is the newest and one of the finest charter yachts currently available and the perfect vessel to explore the East Med. The Geco crew and I aim to establish her as a ‘standout’ charter yacht and create an exceptional experience for anyone who steps on board."
