Edmiston has announced the sale of the 27.6-metre sailing yacht Gitana IV with Mike Horsley representing the seller and Barney Sandeman introducing the buyer. Built in 1962 to a complete design by the Italian Lavagna-based ship builder Sangermani, the 62 GT sailing yacht features a wooden hull and superstructure. Accommodating up to six guests in three cabins comprised of a master cabin and two twin cabins, Gitana IV sports a traditional and elegant interior design. Her guests can be taken care of by a crew of up to five who sleep in three cabins. Gitana IV has received regular maintenance works throughout her lifespan by her previous owner. As the most well-known yacht built by Sangermani according to Edmiston, Gitana IV has been victorious in a number of races worldwide. She is equipped with a Lugger L6125A engine with 340hp which allows her to cruise at approximately nine knots and reach a top speed of 10 knots. At the time of sale, Gitana IV had a final asking price of €995,000.
