The 67.06-metre yacht Global has been sold after having been listed as a yacht for sale by Chris Cooke at United Yachts along with Camper & Nicholsons representing the buyer. Launched in 1982 by Bender Shipbuilding & Repair, Global was extensively refitted by Shadow Marine in 2007 and emerged as a luxury expedition yacht as one of the first SUVs (Sport Utility Vessel) for the superyacht market. Up to 12 guests can be accommodated for onboard in six staterooms and make use of the range of amenities such as the swimming pool, helipad, gym, movie theatre, library and formal dining room.
Across her five decks, Global has extensive storage space for water toys, sub-sea and on-shore expedition equipment and can work as a solo explorer vessel or a shadow vessel. The 1,303 GT superyacht is able to reach a range of 10,000nm range and achieve a top speed of 14 knots.
