68m converted luxury expedition yacht Global sold

The 67.06-metre yacht Global has been sold after having been listed as a yacht for sale by Chris Cooke at United Yachts along with Camper & Nicholsons representing the buyer. Launched in 1982 by Bender Shipbuilding & Repair, Global was extensively refitted by Shadow Marine in 2007 and emerged as a luxury expedition yacht as one of the first SUVs (Sport Utility Vessel) for the superyacht market. ย Global anchored off Monaco Photo: Tom van Oossanen / SuperYacht TimesGlobal features an exterior design by Lay, Pitman & Associates, naval architecture by Kirilloff and Associates and an interior design by Kimberly Gonzales, who all worked to meet the requirements of MCA compliances, Bureau Veritas and SOLAS classifications. Up to 12 guests can be accommodated for onboard in six staterooms and make use of the range of amenities such as the swimming pool, helipad, gym, movie theatre, library and formal dining room.ย

The 1,303 GT superyacht is able to reach a range of 10,000nm range and achieve a top speed of 14 knots.

During her time listed as a yacht for sale, Global had a last asking price of ย $7,990,000.
