Celebrations were taking place in Ancona this week at the Extra Yachts shipyard as its second 26.2-metre Extra 86 model was launched. Named Haze, the new superyacht features modern exterior lines from Francesco Guida and an interior by Lawson Robb.Photo: Palumbo/ISA YachtsPhoto: Palumbo/ISA YachtsThe owner requested that the yacht had a penthouse-style design and so, the design team started the project by working on the interior. The result complements the owner's taste and lifestyle, with the main saloon having been customised to accommodate a particular work of art. This space is spacious enough to feature an entertainment system with a projector for late-night movie showings.Photo: Palumbo/ISA YachtsPhoto: Palumbo/ISA YachtsAs seen in the latest images, the main saloon is covered by integrated solar panels for up to 6kWs to power sockets and lights throughout the yacht, whereas the power needed for her top speed of 21 knots comes from twin Volvo IPS 1350 engines.Photo: Palumbo/ISA Yachts“We are delighted with Haze, she looks fantastic. The yacht's styling and vast open outdoor space suit the requirements of the owner extremely well and we are confident the yacht will provide some fantastic experiences for both owner and guests when cruising. The chosen exterior paint colour and finish enhances the wow factor of the yacht,” commented Jordi Wilkes, the owner's representative.Photo: Palumbo/ISA YachtsPhoto: Palumbo/ISA YachtsOther notable features include the crew galley, which has been transformed into a residential kitchen finished with white marble. This is where crew and guests can integrate and gather together as per the owner's request.
Guests can also make use of the flybridge with its two driving seats, sunbeds, bar and barbecue area. In terms of accommodation, up to eight guests can stay across four staterooms, including the full-beam master suite, VIP cabin and two twin guest cabins, all with ensuites.
