The 27.3-metre motor yacht Helga has been launched by Van der Valk Shipyard in the Netherlands. She is expected to be delivered ahead of the Mediterranean summer season, where her owner plans to spend time on board.The Dutch-designed and built Helga features naval architecture from her builder, Van der Valk Shipyard, and both an interior and exterior design penned by Guido de Groot Design. The raised pilothouse yacht is finished with a pastel blue hull, a transom gate door and stainless steel railings around the swim platform.Closely designed in collaboration with her owner, Helga has been built as a family yacht. A large main saloon accommodates guests for evening gatherings, with a separate dining area in the wheelhouse to maximise her communal living spaces.Photo: Van der Valk ShipyardPhoto: Van der Valk ShipyardThere is space for up to eight guests on board, across four staterooms consisting of one master suite and three guest suites located on the yacht’s lower deck. They will be taken care of by a crew of three, who have separate living quarters on the main deck forward.Photo: Van der Valk ShipyardPerformance-wise, Helga sports twin MTU 12V 2000 M96L diesel engines and can reach a top speed of 27 knots and cruise comfortably at 23 knots.
