Heading for open ocean today for the first time in Northern Germany is the new 95-metre Lürssen motor yacht Madsummer as the yacht embarks on a series of intensive sea trials on the Baltic Sea. 
Launched in March at Lürssen’s Rendsburg facility, Madsummer is built for a repeat client of the shipyard and Moran Yacht & Ship who is overseeing the construction of the project as owner’s representative. The London-based design studio Harrison Eidsgaard are behind Madsummer’s elegant exterior while designer Laura Sessa created the contemporary interior on board that will accommodate the yacht’s 20 guests across 10 luxurious staterooms.
Some of the stand-out features include a 12-metre swimming pool on the main deck aft and an extensive onboard spa centre. Built to be adventure-ready, Madsummer also comes with a fully-equipped diving centre at water level and a helicopter landing pad on the flush foredeck.
On-track for a maiden summer season in the Mediterranean, Madsummer will be one of two Lürssen superyachts to be delivered together with Moran Yacht & Ship this year, including the 111.5-metre Winch-designed TIS.
