This week, the 28.42-metre yacht Makara was sold by Mike Burke of Denison Yachting. Launched in 2016 by the New Gretna-based shipyard Viking Yachts, Makara has been known as Freak Nasty and Deep Devocean.Makara yacht cruising Makara yacht cruising Makara can accommodate up to eight guests in her four cabins with a king-size bed in the master stateroom and three other doubles. The interior exudes a classy modern style with an open main saloon with comfortable furnishings, a large TV and a fully-equipped bar.Makara yacht interiorOutside to the aft, Makara has an external entertainment space with an alfresco dining table, electric grills and a flip-down television. Upstairs, the enclosed bridge includes a large L-shaped settee, wet bar and seating areas.Makara yacht interiorMakara can travel at high speeds thanks to her twin MTU engines which power her up to 37 knots and a cruising speed of 30 knots. At the time of sale, Makara had a last asking price of $8,399,000.
