This week, the 28.42-metre yacht Makara was sold by Mike Burke of Denison Yachting. Launched in 2016 by the New Gretna-based shipyard Viking Yachts, Makara has been known as Freak Nasty and Deep Devocean.Makara can accommodate up to eight guests in her four cabins with a king-size bed in the master stateroom and three other doubles. The interior exudes a classy modern style with an open main saloon with comfortable furnishings, a large TV and a fully-equipped bar.Outside to the aft, Makara has an external entertainment space with an alfresco dining table, electric grills and a flip-down television. Upstairs, the enclosed bridge includes a large L-shaped settee, wet bar and seating areas.Makara can travel at high speeds thanks to her twin MTU engines which power her up to 37 knots and a cruising speed of 30 knots. At the time of sale, Makara had a last asking price of $8,399,000.
