Heesen launches the 50m superyacht Masa

Formerly known as Project Aster, the 50-metre yacht Masa hit the water last week at the Heesen shipyard. The eighth yacht from the 5000 Aluminium Class range will remain in the shipyard’s harbour basin for the final elements of construction. Masa - which means my diamond - will cruise to Hellevoetsluis in the Netherlands for her maiden voyage and sea trials before being delivered to her owners in June 2019.Masa yacht launch in OssPhoto: Dick HolthuisHer pelican-beak bow with sheer aft and sporty mast are the work of exterior designer Frank Laupman of Omega Architects. Cristiano Gatto has created a fresh and elegant interior for Masa, with a light colour palette and silver accents throughout, including the five lower-deck suites and main-deck forward master stateroom.Masa yacht launch in Oss Photo: Dick Holthuis
