Formerly known as Project Aster, the 50-metre yacht Masa hit the water last week at the Heesen shipyard. The eighth yacht from the 5000 Aluminium Class range will remain in the shipyard’s harbour basin for the final elements of construction. Masa - which means my diamond - will cruise to Hellevoetsluis in the Netherlands for her maiden voyage and sea trials before being delivered to her owners in June 2019.

Cristiano Gatto has created a fresh and elegant interior for Masa, with a light colour palette and silver accents throughout, including the five lower-deck suites and main-deck forward master stateroom.

Photo: Dick HolthuisUp to 12 guests and nine crew are accommodated for onboard and can enjoy three lounges, three dining rooms, a bar and a top-deck open-air jacuzzi. Masa will be able to reach a top speed of 23 knots thanks to her twin MTU 16V 4000 diesel engines.
