The 42.67-metre Cantiere delle Marche yacht, Maverick, has been sold to an experienced German yachtsman who intends to spend time onboard with his family once having taken delivery in 2023.
The second Flexplorer 142 yacht will feature Hydro Tec exterior design and will be finished with interiors by Francesco Paszkowski and Margherita Casprini. The owner has chosen the designers on account of their approach suiting his lifestyle with a brief to incorporate both functionality and style. The asymmetry is continued via a full 8.64-metre beam configuration to starboard, which adds space to the saloon while leaving a passageway to her port side.
The 450 GT yacht will also feature a heavy-duty A-frame crane that can launch and retrieve the tender over the stern, as well as an infinity swimming pool that can be covered and used for storage. The A-frame crane is positioned at the borders of the cockpit on both sides and forward so as not to impinge on the ceiling height on the deck below, which is home to a gym, a sauna and a diving centre. A Super Air Nautique G25 tender and an A27 sailing boat will be stored in the cockpit.Photo: Cantiere delle MarcheMaverick’s hull will feature an ‘ice-belt’ 400mm above and below the water line to navigate at the highest latitudes. This is crucial for the owner and his family, as once they have explored destinations around the Mediterranean, they plan to travel to the Northern latitudes to cross the Northwest Passage.
She will also feature collapsible bulwarks that extend to the farthest end of the cockpit. All deck fittings have been positioned at a lower level on the swim platform so that once the bulwarks are folded down the whole aft deck becomes a beach area that covers more than 135 square metres.Photo: Cantiere delle MarcheHer layout will comprise four suites on the lower deck and two master staterooms, one on the main deck forward, and a second one on the upper deck with an adjoining single cabin. She will have capacity for up to 13 guests serviced by six crew. She will also feature a galley to port which opens into the saloon.
“The sale of the Flexplorer 142, named Maverick, is a milestone because it demonstrates the strength of our new propositions,” says Sales Director Vasco Buonpensiere. “When we first introduced our concept of flexible explorer yachts, we knew it would meet the taste of yacht owners eager to purchase a yacht, which allowed them to sail far and wide. A yacht with a high degree of flexibility to adapt herself to different situations, able to carry big tenders and all equipment to venture safely to remote destinations yet comfortable and with all amenities of a true luxury yacht.”Photo: Cantiere delle MarcheMaverick will be powered by two MTU 10V2000M72 engines at 900kW each and will have 60,000 litre fuel tanks to provide her with a top speed of 14 knots and a range of 5,000nm at 10 knots.
