Written by Jason Spinks

Turkish shipyard Mazu Yachts has announced that its first Mazu 82, sold to her owner less than 12 months ago, is rapidly approaching completion. At 24.52 metres, she’s the shipyard’s longest yacht to date and will be the brand’s flagship.Mazu 82/01 yacht in build in YalovaPhoto: Mazu YachtsThe Mazu 82’s exteriors show off her expansive decks - which have become a signature design element for the shipyard - and are designed by Mazu’s founder, Halit Yukay. The yard collaborated with Turkish designer Tanju Özelgin on her interiors, which optimise onboard space and create an elegant and understated atmosphere. Mazu 82 from Mazu Yachts Photo: Mazu Yachts Mazu 82/01 yacht interior design Photo: Mazu Yachts

Mazu’s flagship yacht can welcome guests across three staterooms, which are comprised of a full-beam master amidships, a VIP with ensuite bathroom, and a double stateroom.Mazu 82/01 yacht in build in YalovaPhoto: Mazu YachtsMazu 82/01 yacht general arrangement Photo: Mazu Yachts Mazu 82 features a triple Volvo Penta IPS propulsion system, giving her 3,000hp, a cruising speed of 35 knots and a top speed of 40 knots.Mazu 82 from Mazu Yachts Photo: Mazu Yachts
