After first releasing the model in 2018, Nordhavn has confirmed that the third unit of the 23.98-metre Nordhavn 80 is in production and is due to be completed in October 2021. In their latest renders of the third unit, Nordhavn shares the results of their collaboration with interior designers Vripack, who have created fresh, modern interiors for the new pocket superyacht.Vripack has put together an aesthetic with a focus on family life onboard. Decorated with muted woods and neutral tones, the interiors are inspired by nature and resonated with the owners after they were presented with the concept in 2018. “We are very excited about the new direction Vripack has gone with the interiors of Nordhavn 80 #3,” said PAE Vice President Jim Leishman. “It allows us to serve the diverse style and tastes of our buyers.”
Vripack’s co-Creative Director Marnix Hoekstra explains: “The interior design of the Norhavn 80 #3 is based on our design concept and personalised for the owner and the family. They came to our studio on a beautiful spring day and we spent it discussing their likes and dislikes on colour, texture and style. In our studio, we have a large sample lab and together we picked and chose the right cuts for the oak, the strength of the brush for the brass and finish of the Wimbledon white walls.”
“After this, we created a sample material box which was shipped to their home so they could touch and feel the final selected materials and finishes. Following the approval we made photorealistic images and the virtual reality run through. During a very pleasant meeting at Fort Lauderdale, the final presentation was given and the owners were very pleased with the end result, which consists of American Oak with a white hand-washed finish for the floors and cabinets, this in combination with a silk white finish on the walls and ceiling. Brushed brash is used on all fiddle rails and fixtures. The wet areas see a finish of Carrara marble,” he added.
