Seahawk, a 2013-built Perini Navi 60m series sailing yacht, has found a new owner. Wellington Yacht Partners’ Steve Berson represented the buyer in close collaboration with Bruce Brakenhoff of Perini Navi USA, co-listing agent along with Burgess.Photo: Burgess“We strove to find the right combination of utility, comfort, performance, design, aesthetic and decor to best suit the client’s intended use,” says Berson. “After inspecting suitable vessels in the U.S. and Europe, Seahawk was identified as the best candidate. Fortunately, we were able to come to terms, and Seahawk had a favourable survey and sea trials in La Spezia,” Berson adds.Photo: BurgessSeahawk’s naval architecture comes from the drawing boards of the Viareggio-based shipyard’s in-house team together with Vancouver-based designer Ron Holland. Perini Navi also drew up the exterior design, while the interior comes from famed French designer Christian Liaigre, who opted for dark, warm and natural tones. The open plan saloon is flooded with natural light since it is separated from the cockpit by large glass windows, and the main lounge aft has a cosy and intimate feel.Photo: BurgessAnother striking feature found on board yacht Seahawk is the abundant amount of exterior space, with spacious fore and aft cockpits, a wide sea terrace on a foredeck that also carries two 21-foot tenders, an al-fresco dining area on the flybridge, and two swimming platforms - one at the transom and one port side.Up to 12 guests and 11 crew can be accommodated on board the modern ketch. The luxurious suites include a full-beam master with two double beds on opposite ends of the room, making it possible to divide the master into two VIP suites. Four additional staterooms make up the guest accommodation.Photo: BurgessSeahawk cruises at 12.5 knots and can reach up to 15.5 knots at full speed. The vessel comes equipped with twin MTU 8V 2000 M72 engines and two propellors.Photo: BurgessPhoto: Francesco FerriThe yacht is currently making passage to the Caribbean with her new owners.
