Yachting Partners International (the YPI Group) has released the names of many of the yachts the Group will be showing at this year’s Cannes and Monaco Yacht Shows.
“We are working with some simply stunning yachts this year,” says Bertrand Vogèle, YPI Group CEO, “many of which have already attracted a great deal of interest - good news for our industry and our clients.”
“Not all yacht shows are the same,” comments YPI Senior Yachting Consultant, Eric Althaus. “But the Monaco and Cannes Shows are two examples where our clients properly get to see some of the very best products and services available on the market today all in one place - whether they are buying, selling or building.”
In addition to planned visits and viewings, YPI lays on VIP tenders and limousines for clients to ensure their time at both Shows goes as comfortably and as smoothly as possible.
“There’s a lot to see,” says Eric Althaus. “We work hard to make sure our clients get to visit all the yachts they want to see without it being too tiring. After all, yachting is supposed to be fun…and that includes yacht shopping.”
Jasmin (Cannes Boat Show – PCT 129, Port Canto)
Built by RMK Marine Shipyard in Istanbul in 2003 and with naval architecture by Vripack, Jasmin is an expedition-style motor yacht with a GRT of 336 and a range of almost 5,000 nm.
“Jasmin combines sturdy, ocean-going capability with classic, elegant comfort,” explains Bertrand Vogèle, YPI Group CEO. “She has all the great characteristics of a much larger yacht…but without any of the inconveniences.”
Jasmin accommodates up to 10 guests in 5 staterooms including a master suite, located on the main deck, of approximately 45 square metres featuring a king-size bed and ‘his n hers’ bathrooms. There is also an additional 6th ‘Nanny’ cabin (without bathroom).
“A very attentive maintenance programme has ensured all Jasmin’s systems and equipment are as good as the day she was launched,” adds Bertrand Vogele. “Her condition is superb. Buyers interested in an outstanding explorer yacht for a very competitive price really should take the time now to come and inspect Jasmin…they wont be disappointed.”
GO (Cannes Boat Show – JETEE ALBERT E. NORD 106)
Launched in April of this year, 39-metre ‘GO’ is the third in the exclusive and pioneering SL39 modular concept series from Feadship. Built by Feadship De Vries, designed by the renowned De Voogt Naval Architects and with sophisticated and versatile interior design by award-winning FPA Architects, GO is one of the most exciting motor yacht launches this year. She has full transatlantic range and can accommodate up to 10 guests in 5 cabins sailing with a crew of 6.
“GO is a fascinating and fresh new yacht that cements our ongoing relationship with Feadship,” adds Eric Althaus. “She is very correctly priced and really ought to be seen by those looking for something new, innovative and performant.”
GO is being presented by Feadship together with YPI in the Old Port of Cannes.
Valquest (Monaco Yacht Show: T-Central Jetty (TBC))
Launched late 2009, Valquest is a 41-metre Dubois-designed Fast Cruising Sloop from custom yacht builder Bloemsma Van Breemen – a family-run shipyard in the Netherlands known for its outstanding quality of work and attention to detail.
“Valquest is without doubt one of the nicest sailing yachts I have ever been on board,” says her YPI Sales & New Construction Broker, Matt Albert. “She has a very clean deck, a low profile wheelhouse and of course that head-turning silver metallic hull.”
Valquest includes a number of important features all incorporated for long range cruising. “She is equipped with a high fuel tank capacity,” explains Matt, “a standingheight engine room, spacious storage and in-deck winches with easy access to all technical installations.”
Adhering to Lloyds and MCA stipulations, Valquest is equipped with dual head stays, a roll-away boom with captive winches enabling all sail handling systems, and hydraulically operated running backstays. Twin-prow anchors on the bow enable the yacht to be fixed in all locations.
“We are very proud to be the Central Agents for both the sale and charter of Valquest,” says Bertrand Vogèle, YPI Group CEO. “She is a beautiful sailing yacht with a great mix of style and performance. Very realistically priced and practically brand new, we look forward to bringing plenty of interested buyers to see her at this year’s Monaco Show.”
Lionheart (on show at the Monaco Yacht Show)
Launched this summer to wide acclaim, Lionheart is 44-metres (144 feet) long, has an astonishing 17-metre (56 feet) of overhang and is presently the largest JClass yet to have been commissioned. Originally designed for the Ranger Syndicate by Starling Burgess and Olin Stephens in 1936, Lionheart 's design was extensively optimised by Hoek Naval Architects to ensure she can compete at the very highest level.
“Lionheart is quite simply…stunning,” says her YPI Broker and Head of the YPI Sailing Division, William Bishop. “Anyone who loves sailing is already well aware of the philosophy, the history, the technology and the passion that has gone into the construction of Lionheart. That’s what makes this yacht the beginning of a whole new era of J-Class yachting.”
Also on show during the Monaco Yacht Show, the YPI Project-Managed 60-metre new-build from ISA: Mary-Jean II
Launched mid-May and delivered to her owner this summer, Mary-Jean II is a stunning piece of craftsmanship from renowned Italian shipbuilder ISA. Project managed by YPI Management, this 60-metre new-build, launched with striking Aristo Blue hull and Oyster White super structure, utilizes the very latest technology, design and Italian craftsmanship with a contemporary interior design by Mark Berryman. Twin Caterpillar engines take Mary-Jean II to a top speed of 17 knots with a comfortable cruising speed of 14 knots. Mary-Jean II can accommodate 12 guests in seven staterooms.
Mary-Jean II will soon be available for charter in the Caribbean and the Mediterranean through her Central Agents: YPI Charter
Unlike most yacht shows, the teams from all YPI specialist divisions – Brokerage, Management, Crew and Charter - will be present at both the Cannes Boat Show (8 – 13 September) and the Monaco Yacht Show (22 – 25 September).
