The requested style is soberly classic with contemporary details that reflect the exterior lines and satisfy three generations of family members.”Sunrise yacht interiorPhoto: Kerem SanlimanThe vessel's new owner can certainly be classed as experienced. Begining his yachting journey cruising the Turkish coastline on traditional wooden gulets and motorboats, he rented a shipyard in Istanbul to build two yachts of 23 and 26 metres, both of which feature designs by veteran superyacht designer Aldo Cichero. His third new-build was a 34-metre vessel which he owned for 13 years.Sunrise yacht at anchor Photo: Kerem Sanliman“Yachting has been my hobby for 30 years,” says the owner. “I chose Yildiz to build my fourth yacht because of the high quality of the work they do and I met Hot Lab at the yard. I’m accustomed to working with Italian designers and found the young, friendly, client-oriented team very easy to work with. They did a great job and worked very hard with myself and my wife.”Sunrise yacht at anchor Photo: Kerem Sanliman“I had the pleasure to meet the passionate owner and his wife in Istanbul in the summer of 2017 and in less than an hour we agreed on all the design and contract principles," commented Antonio Romano, Hot Lab co-founder. “He has owned three previous yachts and was looking for a family-oriented motoryacht for personal use and thanks to his previous experience was able to provide us with a detailed brief. This was a great help both for us and the shipyard.”Sunrise yacht at anchor Photo: Kerem Sanliman“The level of attention the owner dedicated to the project was quite extraordinary,” says Burak Akgül, Chief Executive Officer of the Yildiz Shipyard. As always, the interiors commanded a substantial proportion of his attention and Hot Lab’s ability to render his family’s vision – and then ensure the execution down to every last detail with an unwavering positive attitude – was exemplary. From our perspective as the shipyard, their technical support and coordination was absolutely first rate. The end result is a happy owner!”Sunrise yacht at anchor Photo: Kerem Sanliman
