Yachting Developments delivers sailing yacht Cygnus Montanus

It has been just over a month that New Zealand shipyard Yachting Developments has launched its 33.83 metre racing sloop named Cygnus Montanus. Designed by German Frers of Frers Naval Architecture with an interior by Adam Lay Studio, the yacht is built for experienced owners.

Designed to be easily handled by a small crew and featuring a lifting keel to allow her access to the most remote of anchorages, Cygnus Montanus is perfectly suited for owners with cruising and racing experience. She accommodates up to eight guests in a full beam owner's cabin aft and three guest cabins. The carbon fibre superstructure of the yacht in combination with a Cummins QSL9-405 engine equip this yacht to comfortably undertake blue water sailing around the world.

It is a pleasure to welcome Cygnus Montanus to the Yachting Developments fleet; this fast, light, carbon-fibre, family-oriented boat is exactly the kind of project that our team likes to build,” said shipyard Managing Director Ian Cook. “We are delighted that these very experienced owners chose Yachting Developments as the yard to build their project at, and the beautiful end result is a real testament to the vision of her owners and the build and design team that they put together to make this project a reality.”
