Delivered in March 2022 from South-Africa based builder Southern Wind, the interiors of the yacht SØRVIND have been unveiled for the first time.

Following in the footsteps of sister sailing yachts Open Season (2012), Magic Carpet 3&nbsp;(2013) and Galateia (2015), Wally has again raised the Wallycento bar with the release of its latest box-ruled speed demon. “She is a further step forward in the evolution of the high-performance superyachts,” comments Wally President, Luca Bassani. <img src="/uploads/store/photo/16082/image/large-e722c0b30836604b8a10c3a529d4d4a8.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/16082"> The cruiser-racer project saw Mills Design as architect, interior designers Pininfarina, and builders Persico Marine come together to build a yacht that would ‘combine performance with style’. It was the first time the Monegasque brand worked together with the three names and after receiving the owner’s initial briefing seemed like just the dream team that would be required for such a visionary project. “Since its inception, Wally has always been open to involving new players in the development of the projects.” confirms Bassani “To keep evolving and exploit new solutions, &nbsp;it’s very important to have inputs from leaders of different industries.”<img src="/uploads/store/photo/16083/image/large-63a4ee82ffef8e0141bba60fd635ce6b.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/16083"><img src="/uploads/store/photo/16084/image/large-a04034afc538b46b0ecabbe3ee514806.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/16084"> Mills were brought on board due to their work on previous Wally projects and understood the dynamics of the brand and more specifically the Wallycento well enough to help build its capabilities even stronger. “The freedom to design a new 30-meter Wally for a client and his team who encouraged innovative thinking from the outset allowed us to create a new and beautiful solution to the many competing demands made of all racing sailboats.”<img src="/uploads/store/photo/16085/image/large-ad0c11f70287e602abddf6c3bc9eec1f.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/16085"><img src="/uploads/store/photo/16089/image/large-e51e6e49e56fa32f1e3e341f41fa19b3.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/16089"> The interior, &nbsp;by famous Italian design house Pininfarina , was created to match Tango’s aggressive soul with a balance of comfort and elegance that would suit the owner’s lifestyle when the day’s racing is over. A wide suspending staircase leads down the companionway into the main saloon. The Giorgio Armani Superyacht Regatta 2023 will be returning in June for its 16th edition, held in the glorious waters surrounding Sardinia. Organised by the YCCS, with the support of title sponsor Giorgio Armani, the regatta is open to sailing yachts of over 27 metres and multihulls of over 15 metres, and is a week filled with superb competitive racing.
