YPI signs 62 metre superyacht Mary-Jean II for charter

She has been one of the most eagerly awaited launches of the year, a new-build project managed by YPI Management, built by ISA in Ancona, Italy and successfully delivered to her Owner this summer. Now, YPI Charter, the Charter Retail/Charter Marketing Division of Yachting Partners International (a part of the BRS Group) has announced the Division’s appointment as Exclusive Central Agent for the charter of Mary-Jean II.

Mary-Jean II is every bit the yacht we have all been waiting to see,” says her YPI Charter Marketing Broker, Jacqueline Leigh. “Everything from the unique Aristo blue of her hull, the Mark Berryman designed interior, the way she moves through the water…every bit of Mary-Jean II speaks of quality and perfection.”

Launched in May of this year, the 61.73-metre Mary-Jean II was built by International Shipyard Ancona (ISA) which was also responsible for the design, naval architecture and engineering of the yacht.

YPI Management project-managed the build, delivering the yacht to a very excited Owner this summer. "What a boat,” he told the YPI team. “She is spectacular. We have greatly valued our relationship with YPI, (this is) a good job by all. Well done and congratulations to all the team." Although very much a family yacht, her future role in the charter market was considered very carefully in all aspects of her design. Pop and Modern Art, and the overall spacious and clean feel of her interior makes good use of light grained satin finished woods such as teak, wengé and bamboo.

Mary-Jean II has an abundance of space both inside and out,” says Jacqueline Leigh. “She has an amazing Sun and Aft deck with plenty of lounge and dining space – not to mention a capacious Jacuzzi that overlooks the whole yacht.”

For more entertainment, an already impressive sky-lounge also includes a vast cinema screen where charterers can watch a selection of over 2,500 movies with AMX remote control unit in hand to dim the lights, close the blinds and alter the volume without even having to move.

When it comes to toys Mary-Jean II is equally well equipped with the first two full-option 23’ Chase tenders to be built by Novurania complete with custom upholstery, foam collars for easy docking and added safety, and paintwork to match the style and colour of Mary-Jean II herself.

Two clear-bottom kayaks, two Jet-Skis, snorkeling equipment, water skis and wake boards complete the fun fold as does a dedicated gym for those wishing to stay in shape.

The crew also bring an amazing atmosphere to the yacht,” adds Jacqueline. “They are very experienced, highly professional and really know how to take care of guests. Captain Scott can rustle up the most tempting of itineraries and has vast experience cruising in both the Mediterranean and the Caribbean.”

Mary-Jean II accommodates up to 12 guests in 7 cabins with a crew of 14. All cabins have flat screen TV's, iPod docks and full entertainment via the Kaleidoscope system.

Mary-Jean II is the caliber of yacht we are always proud to include in our charter fleet,” says new Head of YPI Charter, Fiona Maureso. “She has the most elegant lines, is beautifully presented and of course…she is brand new. A joy for those first charter guests who book her for the Caribbean this winter.”

Mary-Jean II is available through YPI Charter this winter in the Caribbean and next summer in the Mediterranean.
