YXT Yacht X Tender - part of the Lynx Yachts brand - has announced the start of construction of a new 20 metre YXT 20 support vessel, conceived for a mothership from 30 to 70 metres. The project has been started on spec and follows the success of the 24 metre YXT 24, which was first launched in 2014.
The YXT 20 features interior design by Franck Darnet Design, who has used plywood walls with a natural wood finish, Hi-Mac ceilings, wall-to-wall carpeting and furnishings in natural wood veneer to make guests feel at home.
She will accommodate a crew of four on board and is equipped with two cranes for her tenders and toys hosted on the45 square metre deck. The primary crane covers the deck area, while the secondary is located at the stern and also serves as the gangway. Each crane has a lifting capacity at a five metre extension of 1.7 tons and has a full 360° slew.
The YXT 20 will be the smallest vessel in the brand’s range of steel displacement support vessels upon completion, with the largest measuring 36 metres. The first unit of the YXT 20 is currently listed for sale by Fraser Yachts at an asking price of €1,950,000. She is scheduled to be ready for delivery by summer 2016.
