Germany-based yacht builder <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/5563" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="YYachts (Company)">YYachts</a> has unveiled new interior renderings of the 23.99-metre Y8 Custom sailing yacht.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/266202/image/large-bfa9fd4c5a52d7c3dc311d0d6d0266cf.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/266202">In 2015, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/5563" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="YYachts (Company)">YYachts</a> and founder Michael Schmidt developed the 23.98-metre sloop <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/10857" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Cool Breeze23.98m (78'8&quot;)YYachts 2015">Cool Breeze</a>, the first in the Y8 series, which has been continuously developed further over the years. There are now 10 different layouts available for the series, allowing owners to tailor her to their own needs.&nbsp;The Y8 Custom yacht has been commissioned by an experienced owner, who has enlisted renowned architect and designer <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/7459" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Studio David Thulstrup (Company)">David Thulstrup</a> to design the interior. <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/7459" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Studio David Thulstrup (Company)">David Thulstrup</a> is known for his holistic approach to architecture, interiors and product design combined with his Scandinavian heritage.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/296169/image/large-248783a322c6b5db5b564a1324798943.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/296169">“By taking a holistic approach to each aspect of a project, David creates spaces where people are comfortable and embraced by their surroundings,” explained <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/5563" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="YYachts (Company)">YYachts</a>. Her interior will showcase warm beiges, browns and wood tones to create a cosy ambience that is both relaxing and elegant.&nbsp;A plank-like floor visually connects the exterior with the interior, while narrow flat windows and the surrounding windows of the flat Y8 superstructure provide brightness. The Y8 Custom yacht features fewer bulkheads than all the Y8 yachts already delivered, which makes it possible to configure her spaces a bit differently.<img src="https://photo-assets.superyachttimes.com/photo/296172/image/large-56af3b3f330347a3e8cae76dd1a879bf.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/296172">The crew occupy the stern, in front of two ensuite guest staterooms for up to four guests. The central design of the Y8 yacht is her saloon, which is divided into a lounge with big sofas on both sides and a dining area with a table for six to eight guests. Moreover, this area benefits from a dedicated study to support long periods of working remotely while cruising.Further customisation extends behind the scenes, where the traditional full-beam engine room has been eliminated to make room for a concealed service corridor, enabling the crew to move discreetly throughout the yacht while maintaining guest privacy.According to <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/15" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Vripack (Company)">Vripack</a>, the yacht combines hydro-generation through regenerative turbine propellers with more than 100-square-metres of photovoltaic thermal panels integrated into her biminis.
