Zabava, the 30.7-metre superyacht built by Heesen, is set to undergo a full refit at Icon Yachts’ facility in Harlingen, the Netherlands over the next coming months. The motor yacht arrived at the facility earlier this month and her refit includes a completely new paint job ahead of her busy summer season cruising in the Mediterranean. Photo: Icon YachtsHer full refit comes after she was sold to her new owner in May this year. “The owner bought Zabava earlier this year with an initial intention to do a refit in Northern Europe to enhance the quality of the boat,” comments Jelena Vezia from Ocean Independence, who represented the buyer during her sale. Zabava’s refit marks the second refit Icon Yachts will carry out on a Heesen yacht and comes ahead of the inauguration of the yard new floating dock, set to take place next month.
Other refit projects currently taking place at Icon Yachts include the 59.5-metre Ramble on Rose as well as a 60-metre Benetti superyacht. The 68m conversion project Ragnar is scheduled for delivery in 2019, while construction of the 84m project Icon 280 is well underway.Photo: Camper & NicholsonsBuilt by Heesen and originally delivered under the name Buka in 2000, she previously cruised under the name Pokrov II before she was sold to her current owner. She features an exterior and interior design from the Dutch shipyard’s in-house team and is capable of accommodating up to eight guests across four staterooms next to four crew members.
Zabava is scheduled to return to the water in spring 2019.
