Word has reached us that some time ago, the Zanziba sailing superyacht project has been sold to a new owner. Originally ordered by a British businessman with many years’ yachting experience and designed in the UK by David Wright Design, the brief was for a yacht that would be able to defray a large part of its annual running costs in what was recognised as a highly competitive charter market.
The design brief for this 40 metre yacht was that she should be externally attractive in a classical way with plenty of deck space for relaxation and toys, while below it should be capable of accommodating up to three families in comfort with a high crew‐to‐guest ratio.
A generous beam of nine metres comfortably accommodates six double and twin cabins, all with ensuite facilities, in the forward section of the yacht, plus four twins aft of the engine room for the crew.
The yacht is now being completed. Watch this space for more details once she is launched.
